Cigarette Candy

Candy has always fascinated children and candy that makes children seem like adults fascinates them even more. During the time of the 1950s there were some brands of cigarette candy which worked closely with cigarette companies to promote smoking among young people.

Children for a long time now have wanted to play pranks that would make them seem like adults, like drinking apple juice and making it appear like they are drinking alcohol or chewing on the end of a cigarette candy stick to pretend as they are smoking. Some of the candy cigarette brands of the 1950s packed their candy sticks similar to how real cigarettes were packed. These candies mimicked even the real cigarette, keeping in the length up to 85mm.

The candy cigarettes we have today are more socially responsible and the carton enclosing the cigarettes seems more of a candy box than a cigarette packet. Mini pack comes as a box of ten sticks and the jumbo pack comes as a box of up to twenty-four sticks. They can come in a variety of flavors, such as mint, vanilla or almond. The sticks are of the usual length of cigarettes with a full white stem and a red tip, which is usually flavored raspberry, cherry or strawberry. Some kids like to bite off the tasty red end and then chew on the rest of the candy.

Just as children like to use a toy as it was the real thing, it is just a similar child fantasy for a kid to carry around these candy cigarettes like they were real. A kid may want to roll his packet into the sleeve of his T-shirt or carry a single cigarette holding it between the ear helix and his head.

However, these candies are not exclusively meant for children only. An adult too can pop one of these between his lips, in a humorous way to succumb to the peer pressure of standing among smokers. So, if you are a kid or a non smoking adult you can make people give you a second glance with these candy cigarettes.
