Celebrating Christmas with Candies

Many Christmas candies are available which appeal to your sweet sensation like the cream filled candies, ribbon candies, truffles, hard or gel filled candies or even almond barks.Christmas candies also make a good Christmas gift as well as can also be used for decoration. Here are some of the Christmas candies that give a varied feeling for the Christmas celebration.

Candy Canes- Candy Canes are hard cane-shaped candy sticks with a sweet and sometimes minty taste. But they are always delicious having red and white stripes. These candies are now available in various flavors and decorated with different colored stripes. They traditionally are made for the Christmas holidays but are available all year round in North America.

Caramel Corns- Carmel Corn is one of the favorite candies for Christmas which is prepared from a sweet combination of molasses or sugar based caramel and coated with popcorn. These candies take a long time to be prepared, so they are crunchy and sweet flavored. There are even caramel corns with mixed nuts like cashews, pecans, almonds and peanuts.

Rum Balls or Bourbon Balls- Everyone likes to enjoy the little naughty feeling and flavor of alcohol in their making or chocolates and especially for Christmas. Rum balls give a dense flavor of rum as well as chocolate. In this candy, rum is filled at the inner part of it and then coated with desiccated coconut, chocolate sprinkles and even cocoa. There are various types of rum balls available which contains rum and chocolate but the rest of the ingredients vary.

Hershey's Kisses- The distinct shaped Hershey's Kisses are a bite shaped chocolate pieces that are commonly known as flat-bottomed teardrops. They get you in the perfect feel and mood of Christmas and you also love eating them. These candies are wrapped in aluminum foils and available as milk chocolate, hugs, caramel, special dark, air delight and almond milk candies.
